My grandfather worked at Doulton as a quality inspector in the 1920s, 30s and 40s, I think. So I suppose this is one of the items he acquired during thattime. I'm curious about it because I haven't been able to find any images of similar ware online.

Royal Doulton Collectors Club

I recently acquired a porcelain beaker which measures app 4" high and 3" across.
It shows the sepia image of what appears to be a First Wolrd War soldier from the Royal Artillery.
If I am correct the piece was made between 1902 and 1922.
It looks for all the world like a one-off family piece although I would susect Doulton did not produce such individual items.
If you have any information whatsoever or know where I might find it, I would be very grateful.
Many thanks
