Wow! That's how I can best describe the effects the Antiques Road Show has on viewers.
I don't recall another T.V. program that has attracted so much attention to Antiques &
Collectibles as the "ARS".

Experts in so many fields are on display. All are positive in their demeanour, but of course,
it's their source of income too. Their knowledge is amazing, but sometimes I question their
assessment of value to some items. But go along with it, as they know much more than I do.

The "ARS" has attracted a great number of viewers. The show in different geographical
locations gives the people hope of seeing someone they know.

The dollar values they give are taken from auction catalogs, which would cost the viewer of
this website mucho bucks, as they are not, for the most part, published on the internet.
Values are good for the insurance industry, as viewers rush to re-assess the value of the items
they've squirreled away.

Overall, yes, it has had a positive effect on the antiques and collectibles audience.
